Tough, isn’t it?  We can’t do it either.  But we can if we use TWO words…..and those two are….Island Estates.

We could have used a few dozen more words that also fit well, like private, safe, serene, beautiful, idyllic, friendly, convenient……well, you get the idea.  For many of us, living on Island Estates is what we have dreamed of all of our adult lives…..and if you visit us, you surely will see why.

Island Estates is an island two and a half miles long surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway and the Florida East Coast Canal, with two private gated bridges for resident access, and 200 homesites in a safe, pristine, and exceedingly beautiful community.

We are located about 25 miles North of Daytona Beach and about 25 miles South of St Augustine, Florida…..on the Intracoastal,  a stone’s throw from the ocean…..assuming you have a fairly strong throwing arm.

Most homeowners have private docks in their backyard for frequent boating, watching the dolphins or manatees swim by, or just enjoying the sunrise or the sunset.  Almost all of the residents are transplants from somewhere else and very anxious to make new friends and socialize with their new neighbors.

I have lived here since 2000, and know a great many of my neighbors, and the overwhelming opinion of all my fellow residents is that Island Estates is an absolutely terrific place to live.
