Emergency Preparedness

One of the most important annual activities of every owner/resident of Island Estates is to be prepared for any possible emergency by:

  • Becoming familiar with the nature/timing of potential emergencies (hurricanes, floods, wildfires, tornadoes, lightning).
  • Being fully informed of the resources available at the community, local, state and federal levels.
  • Having an updated Family Emergency Plan (which is shared with and understood by all family members).
  • Having a fully stocked supply kit in case of an unexpected situation.

Accordingly, as part of the Island Estates Owners’ Manual, an Emergency Preparedness Handbook was developed. If you do not have a copy of the Handbook, you can click on the links below to access the information.
